Diane Pardy Farr

Artist Statement :

Plein air painting, for me, offers a wonderful way to engage with the natural environment. It is very immediate and direct, and experiments in the field can be successful on their own or used to inform work done later in the studio. I enjoy hiking and exploring, and am inspired by many things: the vastness of open views, the patterns made by natural forms, the effects of light on the sky and water, and the unique color harmonies found outside in all seasons.

In 2009, Diane took on the role of OPAS Treasurer.

Diane says: "It was SOOOO exciting to be include in the article "21 over 31: Talented Artists You Need to Know" in the November issue of Southwest Art." See it here.
