I love painting outdoors and for many years have painted in every kind of weather from the desert of Arizona to the snows of the Canadian Rockies. Every second year I have an opportunity to paint in California when we visit our son and travel throughout the area. This is my golden opportunity to visit and paint from the Pacific Ocean to the Sierra Mountains. Other trips have taken us to the Canadian Rockies where I have painted at Glacier International, and at Banff and Jasper National Parks. The beauty of the snow covered mountains and the deep blue to turquoise color of the lakes draws me like a magnet. I am a charter member of the Ohio Plein Air Society and have displayed my work at many shows. The Sharon Weiss Gallery is the main showing for my paintings. Workshops by OPAS members such as Chuck Marshall and Mark Gingerich were recent training sessions. Previous formal training was at the Wayne Art Center in Philadelphia, PA and at Sinclair College in Dayton, OH.
